Dianne Joy - Family Wellbeing Coach and offering practical advice for those struggling with a partner or family member with an addiction

Picture
Using her experience in education alongside coaching and mentoring skills, Dianne works with teenagers and parents to address a range of issues in order to overcome boundaries which may be preventing them from achieving their full potential.

These could be issues such as anxiety or depression, friendship or relationship issues, school refusal, social or behavioural difficulties, low self-esteem and confidence issues, self-harm, social media and gaming addiction.  They could also be problems associated with coping with a divorce or a bereavement.

Dianne has also worked at length with teenagers who need help with time management, sleep deprivation and dietary advice.

Coaching sessions typically comprises of guided communication led by the NLP framework in order to assess a client’s present mental and emotional state.  Further discussion would focus on the causes of this state in order to develop a strategy to work towards a more desirable state and ultimately, the achievement of their desired outcomes or goals. Dianne firmly believes that all young people have the resources within themselves to become strong and motivated individuals and to realise their full worth and potential, no matter what their difficulties.

As a qualified careers adviser, Dianne feels strongly that having career goals and being armed with the information on how to achieve them is an important part of the mentoring and coaching process. Young people often feel bewildered by the array of opportunities available in further and higher education but she has experienced at first-hand how inspirational and life-changing, high quality careers advice can be.
